MIRACULOUS EFFECT OF ECIWO THERAPY IN TREATING DERMATASCLEROSIS

Dr. Chen Qian

Abstract Dermatasclerosis is a desmosis and an autoimmune disease. By now, there have been no satisfactory remedy for it. We have adopted a comprehensive treatment¡ª combining ECIWO acupuncture with traditional medicine in treating dermatasclerosis and have achieved remarkable clinical results.

Key words dermatasclerosis, organ injury, ECIWO acupuncture, acupoint

ECIWO biological law discovered by Professor Zhang and ECIWO therapy founded by Professor Zhang have contributed a lot to the development of biological science. They are great breakthroughs in modern medical science. Since 1990, I have treated 20 commonly encountered diseases with ECIWO therapy and have achieved satisfactory results. In order to popularize ECIWO theory and ECIWO therapy, we have organized studies on ECIWO theory and ECIWO diagnosis and therapy among our staff members and retired members. We have also organized show of the film, ECIWO View of the Human Body, and video tapes such as ECIWO Diagnosis and Therapy. Everybody has got much benefit from this. We have also established ECIWO department in our hospital and have raised the curative effect of various kinds of diseases. In early November, 1994, a friend of mine came to see me and we talked of his brother. His brother had contracted dermatasclerosis. He had bee treated in many famous hospitals in Nanchang, Shanghai and Beijing, but didn't feel better. On the contrary, the patient's condition had worsened. The patient had become so disappointed and depressed that for several times he had tried to commit suicide. I recommended ECIWO therapy to the patient. Having been treated with ECIWO therapy (puncturing the corresponding acupoints on the patient's SMS) for four months, the patient began to feel better and his clinical symptoms were miraculously controlled. People from Jiangxi TV station came to our ECIWO department and took an on-the-spot interview. The TV program was shown on TV at 8:00 p.m. on March 17,1995 all over the province. Both Nanchang Evening Paper (March 28,1995) and Jiangxi Daily (April 12, 1995) had news report on ECIWO therapy. During the past one year, I have treated 6 patients suffering from dermatasclerosis with ECIWO therapy and have obtained obvious results. Following are two typical cases.

1. Liu, male, 40, a railway worker in Nanchang. In mid July,1993, he began to have symptoms similar to those of upper respiratory tract infection, such as feeling chilly, having a fever and coughing. Half a month later, his two legs became puffy and the skin of the outer part of both his legs turned stiff. His fingers and the back of his hands became oncotic and the Raynaud's phenomena appeared. He suffered great pain in his fingers, his wrists, knees and ankles. In February,1994, he began to suffer skin titillation. White spots appeared on the skin of the back of his hands and feet and of his arms and the outer part of his legs. The skin of these parts was like the skin of a snake. Besides, there was yellow sticky tissue fluid oozing from the back of his hands and the front outer parts of his shanks. His fingers, wrists, knees and ankles were stiff and ha had great difficulty in moving and squatting. He was like a robot when walking. He also had difficulty in opening his mouth. He had other symptoms such shortness of breath, chest distress ,poor appetite and weariness. The illness was diagnosed as dermatasclerosis. He had been treated in several famous hospitals and he had tried both Western medicines and traditional Chinese medicines, such as prednisone, etc. He had also received traditional acupoint injection of gastrodia and Vb12. But these hadn't made him feel better. On Nov. 8, 1994, the patient began to accept ECIWO treatment. Since dermatasclerosis is a systemic desmosis, many parts of the body were involved . Therefore, when examined, the patient felt obvious pain in nearly all the acupoints on his SMS. When selecting the acupoints, we followed the principle that the selected acupoints should correspond to the affected body parts on the same side of the body. Meanwhile, we take into consideration the principle that certain inner organs dominate the function of certain outer organs of the human body. We punctured the selected acupoints on his SMS. 2 days later, the pain in his right shoulder joint disappeared, his legs were more flexible than before and the skin itching was abated. 10 days later, the pain in his upper limbs disappeared and skin itching was further abated. 15 days later, tumefaction in his lower limbs was abated and he could walk better than before. 20 days later, he walked much better than before and he could squat and jump and could even get on a bicycle. 30 days later, there was no longer yellow sticky tissue fluid oozing out. Throughout the treatment , we punctured different acupoints according to the symptoms and body signs. During the third month of ECIWO treatment, we added intravenous drip of compound red sage root fluid (5%GS 500ml+compound red sage root fluid 16ml). This went on for20 days (two courses of treatment). After four months' treatment, the patient could breathe freely and he had a better appetite. He could open his mouth to a width of 2.5 cm. The pigmentation disappeared and the skin elasticity was restored. His legs were much more flexible than before and he could move freely. By now, he had suffered no recurrence.

2. Li, female, 39, living in Xinyu Metallurgical School, Jiangxi province. On July 20, 1995, she began to receive ECIWO treatment. Her hospitalization No. was 5980. The disease first attacked her in the winter of 1991. At that time, German measles were all over her body, with naked parts being more seriously affected. When she was exposed to wind or when she touched cold water, the symptoms would worsen. This went on for several months then her skin elasticity weakened. The disease was diagnosed as arthritis by a local hospital. In late 1994, her fingers, wrists and elbow joints become oncotic and stiff; the skin of her neck, chest, abdomen, buttocks and the inside parts of his two legs became stiff and white spots appeared in these parts. The illness was diagnosed as systemic scleroderma. She had tried many medicines, such as prednisone, imuran, cyclophosphane and colchicine, but didn't feel any better. On June 12, 1994, she has brown urine; Two days later, the colour of her urine returned to normal. On June 15, she began to have macroscopic hematuria, her urine was in bright red colour and each time there were 2-3 blood clods as big as quail eggs in it. Besides, she urinated more frequently than before (once in every 1-2 hours). This went on for over 40 days. She had tried both western medicines and traditional Chinese medicine, but didn't feel much better. So she turned to ECIWO treatment for help. When she came to our hospital, her body temperature was 38`c.She looked fatigued and anemic and her face was puffy. She had difficulty in opening her mouth and there were obvious Raynaud' phenomena. Pigmentation occurred in the skin of her face, neck, chest and elbow. There were white spots in the skin of these parts. Her hands were puffy; her fingers were decurtated invaginated; her fingers, wrists and elbow joints were puffy and stiff. She had great difficulty in flexing and stretching her arms and in squatting. 8 urine tests showed: occult blood 4(+), erythrocyte 3(+),hemogram showed: hematochrome52.9/L (July 20); 44.9/L (July 23); 36.9/L (July 26). Erythrocyte: 1.79¡Á1012/L (July 20); 1.5¡Á1012/L (July 23); 1.1¡Á1012/L (July 26). Leukocyte: 24¡Á109/L (July ¡Á23) . For the first 10 days, we adopted a combined method of treatment, with the principle of stopping bleeding and diminishing inflammation first. While practicing ECIWO therapy (puncturing the acupoints on the patient's SMS ), we also let the patient take hemostatic medicines, such as vitamin k1 ; antiphlogistic medicines, such as penicillin and oral prednisone. After 10days' treatment, hematuria didn't stop , but her two hands were less puffy. On the 12th day of her hospitalization, cystoscope examination revealed her to suffer drug-induced- cystitis¡ª large inside part of the bladder was profligated and blood was oozing out from blood vessels. Pathological section test revealed her to suffer cystitis glandularis, which was the early stage of canceration. According to ECIWO theories, we punctured the bladder acupoint on her SMS. Meanwhile, we used ECIWO differential accelerator ( each time 1u) and reptilase ( each time 1u) once or twice on each day, altogether 10u. Reptilase is coagulation separated and refined from the venom of Brazilian snakes. After 17 days' acupuncture, hematuria stopped. Several routine urine examination proved that her urine had returned to normal. After another 3 courses of ECIWO acupuncture, the patient was much better--her temperature was normal; her face was no longer puffy; pigmentation in her skin was lessened; her affected joints were more flexible than before. She could squat and raise her arms more easily¡ª with a radian of 150 degrees in the left arm and 110 degrees in the right arm (originally 100 degrees in the left and 80 degrees in the right). She could go upstairs and downstairs freely. She could even go to the park for a walk. Hemogram test results were: hemochrome:102.9/g (September 26); erythrocyte: 3.5¡Á1012 /L (September 26). Now the patient is still under treatment.

Discussion

Dermatasclerosis is a systemic desmosis and an autoimmune disease. The cause for it is still unclear.

By now, no medicine have been found to be able to effectively prevent it from worsening, Our clinical practice had proved that ECIWO therapy is effective in treating dermatasclerosis. It can readjust the immunocompetence of the organism and therefore promote the rehabilitation of the organism.

Our combined treatment (dominated by ECIWO acupuncture) has proved to be more effective than other kinds of treatment , such as traditional acupoint injection. We have only treated several patients suffering from dermatasclerosis with ECIWO therapy. Therefore we are not rich in experience. However, the results of our practice has showed that the effective rate of ECIWO therapy in alleviating the pain of dermatasclerosis is 100%. The short term curative effect is positive. By now, there have been no other reports concerning ECIWO therapy in treating dermatasclerosis. Our experience needs to be further enriched.

During the process of treating these two patients mentioned above, we have got frequent telephone instruction from Professor Zhang and Madam Zhaoqin Wang. Here we'd like to express our sincere gratitude.
